Diesha Rushie was shopping for a mirror at Cornell’s True Value in Eastchester, according to the report, and when she went to pay, the merchandise came up as more expensive then the advertised cost, leading to an altercation.

According to the report, a manager approached Rushie, allegedly making a racial remark before taking a pen and stabbing Rushie in the hand, “digging it and dragging it” on her palm. The report states that prompted Rushie to call the authorities and five Eastchester police cars responded to the hardware store.

The store owners at Cornell’s True Value could not be reached for comment late on Thursday afternoon, though the report states that Rushie simply wants an apology from the manager that allegedly made the racial comment.
